The problems are usually not hard. Some problems require a lot of algebraic manipulation.The examples usually cover most problems at the end of the chaper. Study the examples carefully and you should be able to do most problems.
The exposition/explanation is poor. You just cannot understand what the authors are trying to say.
Some problems are not explained in the text. For example, in section 1.2 there are a few problems about "one-parameter family of solutions", but the text does not have anything about "one-parameter family of solutions". Then you have to look up the definition online.
If you are a student, you will have to consult online resources and other textbooks. If you are an instructor, please do not use this book. It will not help students learn.
