Amoxycillin in combination with clavulanic acid a lactamase inhibitor is one of the most widely prescribed antibiotics.It is mainly formulated in solid dosage form since its intravenous infusions has significantly lower shelf-life. There is no doubt that a parenteral preparation would have many clinical application and benefits nevertheless such a multicomponent system needs a thorough examination and understanding of phase changes and concentration variation.This book present a research work aimed at investigating the stability of amoxycillin and clavulanate in separate and combined formulations, in the liquid and frozen states.
