New Media art is a generic term used to describe art related to, or created with, a technology invented or made widely available since the end of the 20th century. Terms like "New Media art", "Digital art", "Computer art", "Multimedia art" and "Interactive art" are often used interchangeably. This book defines New Media art as an international art movement and as a set of artistic practices that make use of emerging technologies to address their cultural, political and aesthetic possibilities.
