The book in front of you is written for anyone (scientists, students etc.) who is interested in Public Private Partnerships (PPP) and governance issues like democratic accountability. It contains a literature study which is focussed on transparency as an important aspect of democratic accountability and PPP. Research from around the world is outlined in order to get a broad view on the subject. These studies are suggesting that PPP decreases transparency and is threatening democratic accountability.
