The book presents the development of Slovak historiography and its relation to international historiographical networks in the period of 1918– 1968. The authors have attempted to create a concise outline of historical production in Slovakia published in this period, focusing mainly on those works which manifested a connection to foreign historical scholarship. Attention was paid to Slovak researchers, institutions, and periodicals covering research on world history and Slavic studies. Slovak exile historiography, its main representatives, streams, institutions and publications are also introduced. Finally, the authors have outlined the representation of Slovak historiography at international scholarly platforms, such as international bilateral historical committees and the World Congresses of Historical Sciences.
